Anglia Gliding Club is an Army Gliding Association (AGA) club which exists to introduce service personnel to the sport of gliding, although places exist for a limited number of civilian members too. We are based at Wattisham Airfield in Suffolk, which is where most of our activities are based. Club flying takes place most weekends and bank holidays all-year-round, weather dependant. We operate in a friendly, relaxed manner and warmly welcome new and prospective members. FacilitiesThe club operates two two-seat dual-control instructional aircraft and two single-seat solo aircraft, launched by winch and aerotow. We have a well-furnished clubhouse and bar for post-flying socialising and larger functions. MembershipAny member of the Armed Forces is eligible to join the club. As it exists primarily to introduce service personnel to the sport of gliding, the number of full civilian memberships is limited. Pricing for both is given in the table below. 3 Regiment, 4 Regiment and 7 Battalion have paid for block membership for all their personnel; if you are currently posted to any of these then your membership is free for one month!
